Civil Service employee at Shepherd Aird Base in Wichita Falls, Texas traveled to and from his job regularly. Eight miles south of Temple, Oklahoma on US 70 he observed a strange object at the side of the road. He described it as fish shaped, 75 feet long, metallic, with "TL-4768" written vertically on its side.
At the same time, a truck driver, C.W. Anderson of Mangum, had that same morning looked in his rearview mirror and seen something with intense lights and red lights along its sides seem to follow for a time.
A woman from Texas, traveling into Oklahoma from Texas at the Red River bridge in the area felt her car buffeted by an object large, bright, and with red lights.
