The first volume, SOONER SAUCERS: OKLAHOMA UFO'S: 1947-1969, shared the cases dug from the files of Project Blue Book and local newspapers, concerning Oklahoma. Where many had believed the state devoid of any such tales of mysterious things flying in the skies they were surprised. This volume follows hard on the heels of building interest in the contents of the first book. It includes many never before shared stories gathered in interviews or submitted to the author. Again, the picture emerging is both fascinating and puzzling. Chronologically arranged the material is highly accessible.
Hudson explores not isolated instances but provides a wide canvas of events to help place events in their proper historical context and relates events to the much wider story going on in multiple locations. The stories she shares provide a glimpse into a history of the Sooner State that is often ignored. As recent national and global events indicate – the story is far from over.
Marilyn A. Hudson is author of books in several genres, most recently she has published SOONER SAUCERS: UFO’S OVER OKLAHOMA 1947-1969 (2020), SOONER SAUCERS: VOLUME 2 (2023), and UFO’S OVER OKLAHOMA: A ROUTE 66 GUIDE (2023).
